Description
The amendment included:
- Major amendment package – Industry mapping, including changes to General industry zones to ensure that Brisbane’s major industrial areas continue to support a wide range of industrial activity, while maintaining adequate separation from sensitive uses such as residential communities (adopted 4 August 2026)
- Mt Gravatt Centre Suburban Renewal Precinct, including changes to the Mt Gravatt corridor neighbourhood plan and other supporting changes to City Plan (adopted 18 August 2026)
- citywide amendment – More Homes, Sooner – Low-medium density residential design, including changes to the Low-medium density residential zone provisions to support more homes in the right places (adopted 18 August 2026)
- citywide update - Minor and administrative amendment package W (adopted 18 August 2026):
- maintains the currency of the planning scheme through overlay map changes to reflect current development approvals, correct inconsistencies and reflect site-based circumstances
- reflects the Planning Regulation 2017 requirements for prescribed categories of assessment and development that cannot be made assessable for particular types of development
- other minor and administrative amendments including improvements to the effectiveness and usability of the planning scheme such as grammar and formatting.
