Mt Gravatt is a vibrant and culturally diverse Brisbane suburb. It has excellent public transport and easy access to parks, the Logan Road shops, Mt Gravatt Showgrounds and Mt Gravatt Outlook Reserve.

How the plan was developed

We have finalised work with the community and businesses to create a precinct plan for Mt Gravatt Centre that:

• supports more housing to be built
• embraces the area’s outdoor lifestyle and subtropical character
• expands opportunities to reinvigorate the local economy
• maximises connections to community facilities, parks, public transport and amenities.

On 8 July 2026, the Queensland Government endorsed the revised precinct plan for adoption.

On 18 August 2026, Council decided to adopt the plan as part of Mt Gravatt corridor neighbourhood plan, which became effective in Brisbane City Plan 2014 (City Plan) on 18 September 2026.

The draft precinct plan was open for consultation from 14 November to 14 December 2025.

A summary of matters raised in submissions and a response to how these were considered is included in the consultation report.

Submitters were provided with a unique submission reference number, which was used to identify Council’s response to feedback received.
